Got a little puffed up and went to the local gas station for a soft serve ice cream and a lottery ticket. Waiting for my ice cream I noticed this gem of a bottle on the shelf. A Kentucky Straight Bourbon with Matthew McConaughey's name on it. For what it's worth, it is very good and worthy of his name on it (I think anyway). It starts out bold and quickly starts settling in to the deeper smokey flavors you would expect from a whiskey who's name invokes images of the state of Texas, cattle, sunshine, dust and leather.
It was a fairly unanimous opinion that it was best served with a single cube of ice, just enough to melt and release the aromas.
